Lions Peak's 2017 Merlot is a complex wine that is rich and bold with exotic layers of cherry, raspberry, and plum, along with hints of blueberry, cedar, vanilla, and chocolate mocha. The wine exhibits a smooth finish and has been barrel aged in 50% new French oak . For casual dining, 2017 Merlot is the perfect accompaniment with pizza, chicken, or pasta dishes. Also, this rich full-bodied Merlot pairs well with lamb, roast veal, or filet mignon. Our winemaker and owner, Jennifer Soni-Arant, recommends trying a charcuterie platter with our Merlot for a relaxing afternoon or evening experience.
