Our winemaker and owner, Jennifer Soni-Arant, is always looking for new and exciting wine varietals which Lions Peak can produce and share with our family of wine friends. Torrontes is such a varietal. Lions Peak has produced our 2019 Torrontes which is an aromatic off dry white wine with moderate acidity, smooth texture and mouthfeel that has distinctive white peach and apricot aromas. The wine has fruity and floral notes of rose petals and lemon zest.
For food pairing, we recommend roast chicken, curried Shrimp, Chinese Barbecue Portk, coconut curries and Thai spice peanut dishes and with poultry, fish, and tofu dishes. Vegetable dishes that pair well with Lions Peak’s Torrontes are: squash, yams, carrots, zucchini, cauliflower, coconut and mango.
For cheese pairing , we recommend that you try, Swiss, Feta, Paneer, Asiago, and Gruyere on your favorite Charcuterie platter.
