A Southern Rhone varietal that is known for its intense fruit that has the perfume of blackberries. This medium bodied dry wine is jammy, has smoky aromas, and with its ripe fruit flavors pairs well with complex food and spicy dishes. Barrel aged in 100% French oak and known for wines that are high in alcohol. It can be difficult to grow: however, it florishes well in the hot sun and adequate water or irritation to produce intensely flavored fruit that is is not overly jammy. Lions Peak's Reserve Grenache is a well balanced Mourvedre and exhibits the characteristics of the varietal with is best.
